Partners



The NPM Regional Water Team worked to develop and enhance partnerships with other agencies, organizations, and stakeholders including:

  • Linkages in shared programming with other regional water projects and national facilitation projects
  • Relationships with EPA Region 8 and ag sector contacts
  • Program-based partnerships with agencies including NRCS, EPA, BOR, DOE, USGS and the Western Governors' Association

The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) - USDA Water Quality Program was authorized under section 406 of the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998 for an Integrated Research, Education, and Extension Competitive Grants Program to bring the resources of researchers, instructors, and extension educators to national initiatives and programmatic partnerships that target evolving water quality needs. The Water Quality Program is not currently funded by USDA.
